六届全国典籍英译研讨会成果研究

通过研究四辑《典籍英译研究》所辑论文的学术代表性,对2002-2010年间举行的六届典籍英译研讨会的学术成果进行了文献计量分析,探讨了中国典籍英译主要学术力量在地区、院校等方面的分布、学科内部结构、学术前沿和研究热点,评价了《典籍英译研究》著者群所代表的知识结构、学术能力及情报能力,并据此对典籍英译这一学科的发展作出了预测,提出了一些建议。研究发现:典籍英译这一学科在国内获得了长足的发展,也引起了部分外国学者的注意,但也存在着典籍英译力量分布失衡,知识更新缓慢等问题。

A Study on the Academic Papers Submitted to the Six National Symposiums on Chinese Classics Translation into English

Based on the representative academic papers collected in the four book series Studies on Translation of Chinese Classics into English, this paper has done a bibliometric analysis of all the papers submitted to the six symposiums held between 2002 and 2010. The purpose is to find the distribution of academic strength in this field in terms of areas and universities and to identify the inner structure of the discipline itself and the research fronts and hot research issues. Efforts have also been made to evaluate the knowledge structure, academic ability and intelligence ca- pabilities of the authors of the representative papers included in the four collections. Finally pre- dictions have been made and suggestions offered for the promotion of the discipline. Important findings include： though the discipline has made great progress at home and has attracted the at- tention of some foreign scholars, there still exist the problems of imbalanced distribution of strength and the slow updating of knowledge.
