修辞学和语用学的研究都涉及语言的使用,它们在主体内容、哲学基础等方面都有相当的一致性,彼此能为对方提供新的方法或借鉴。因此,两个学科之间在研究内容和研究方法等方面的互相渗透和借鉴,将为修辞学注入新的活力和生机,提升修辞学的理论层面和学术高度。当然,强调两个学科之间的渗透和借鉴,目的在于促进学科的发展,绝无合并学科之意。

On Inter-disciplinary Infiltration of Rhetoric and Pragmatics

Both rhetoric and pragmatics study the use of language. They share the same main content and philosophical foundation, thus may offer new methods to each other. Therefore, the mutual infiltration of the two disciplines in their content and research methods will inject new vitality to rhetoric and upgrade its theoretic and academic level. Emphasis is put on the mutual infiltration of the two disciplines in order to promote the development of both, rather than merge them into one.
