杜环《经行记》及其重要价值

目的梳理杜环《经行记》内容及相关材料,为唐代中西科技文化交流提供依据。方法文献考证与分析。结果《经行记》记述了公元8世纪中期中亚、西亚乃至北非的地理环境,物产名俗,宗教,法律等重要内容,弥足珍贵地记载了中华文明对中亚、西亚以及对阿拉伯的浸染。结论杜环《经行记》不仅是一部单纯的游记类地理著作,更重要的它是中西文化交流的见证,是中华文明尤其是以纺织、造纸为主的科技文化西传的最早记录,具有凿空价值的珍贵文献,是中西文化交流的重大科技史事件。

Du Huan's Jing Xing Ji and its values

Aim To sort out the contents and relevant materials concerning Jing Xing Ji so as to provide evidence about the communications between China and the western world during the Tang Dynasty.Methods Textual research and analysis.Results Du Huan's Jing Xing Ji makes a descriptive record of such things as geographical conditions,products and customs,religions and laws in Central Asia,West Asia and North Africa in the middle part of the 8 th century,which indicates the fact that the Chinese civilization had some influence on these regions like Central Asia,West Asia and Arabs.Conclusion Du Huan's Jing Xing Ji is not purely a travelogue,but more importantly a proof for the exchanges between China and the western countries.The record of the export of the Chinese civilization into other countries,especially such technologies as spinning and paper making,are of priceless value in the East-West intercultural communications.
