对文化在外语教学中的作用的探讨

我国高校英语专业高年级教学大纲和基础阶段教学大纲都相继规定加强学生社会文化意识,培养学生社会文化能力。笔者认为培养学生社会能力也是大学英语教学的趋势,因此,在大学英语教学中,把语言知识和文化背景知识相结合,在语言教学中导入相关的文化背景知识是非常重要的。这样,有助于加深学生对其语言现象的理解和领悟,从而培养学生的社会文化能力。

Function of cultural background in foreign language teaching

College English syllabus stresses on how to develop the students' social and cultural consciousness and their social abilities. How to cultivate the students'cultural consciousnees is also a trend in college Engligh teaching. This paper focuses on the introduction to the importance of cultural background in foreign language teaching because a good understanding of cultural background helps the students get a deep understanding of linguistic phenomenon and therefore to develop their social cultural abilities.
