摘    要:指纹识别通常采用节点模式匹配的方法,典型的方法是通过一对参考节点将输人指纹和模板指纹对齐,然后进行节点配对,以基于参考节点对齐的方法为基础提出了一种迁移参考节点的节点匹配方法,基本思想是从某初始参考节点开始得到一些匹配节点对,再以这些匹配节点对作为参考节点得到新的匹配节点对,如此反复,直到所有匹配节点对都被用来作为参考节点.用该算法在FVC2004 DB3上进行测试,结果表明,该方法提高了识别的正确率。

Abstract:Fingerprint recognition is a popular method of biometric authentication. Although fingerprint recognition has been extensively studied and many advances have been made on it, there are still many problems expected to be solved which are shown in actual applications and evaluations. As a consequence, in recent years, many academies and industries have been making an in-depth research on fingerprint recognition. This paper aims to tackle fingerprint matching. Fingerprint recognition includes two main stages, feature extraction and feature matching. Minutiae are usually used in a fingerprint recognition system. When matching two fingerprints, typically, a reference minutia is chosen from the template and the query fingerprint, respectively. The query fingerprint is rotated and translated until the two reference minutiae are aligned, then a minutiae pairing procedure is used to pair corresponding minutiae. This paper follows and extends this method: paired minutiae are adopted to be reference minutiae and to get new paired minutiae, and this process is repeated until all paired minutiae are used as reference minutiae. That is to say the reference minutiae pairs are transferred from one to another. The proposed method is tested on FVC2004 DB3 and the improved matching accuracy is achieved.
