The Applied Research of Task-based Learning in College English Teaching

Task-based learning refers to the foreign language teaching method which takes finishing communicative task as the goal of language teaching.The purpose of it is to make students contact genuine linguistic environment in a series of activities based on tasks,learning English in experiencing.This paper discusses the necessity and practicability of the application of task-based learning from the perspective of present situation of college English teaching,the characteristics of task-based learning and its practical strategy in college English teaching,so that students can improve their communicative ability in finishing tasks.
