| Abstract: | Artifical seeds of rice plants were produced successfully from micro-
adventitious buds of the anther culture and then encapsuling with seed coats. Under
conditions indicated on the paper more than 95% seeds were germinated and deve-
loped into seedlings. With nature seeds used as control of germination of the artifi-
cial seeds, the germination of the artificial seeds and germination capacity of the
artificial seeds obtained were 43% and 62% respectivly. The transferred plants re-
mained viable for several months. |
