甘肃临夏盆地中新世地层及哺乳动物化石

摘    要:甘肃临夏地区中新世哺乳动物化石引起学术界的重视。经过考察、发掘,哪现了大量的化石标本。由于发表的文章多为单篇,较分散,笔者收集整理,对材料进行了研究,认为甘肃临夏地区在近直余年来是全国发现中新世材料最多的地区,且有极高的研究价值,填补了我国中新世哺乳动物化石中的部分空白。

Abstract:The study on Miocene mammal fossils from Linxia Region, Gansu Province,carried out has been by many units for about ten years, but the publications are in the form of separated papers. So I try to sort out and make a study on them to draw out a conclusion from these rich informations : Linxia Region of Gansu is where a largest number of valuable Miocene fossils were found in the last ten years. Gomphotherium, Dzungariotherium orgosense and Paraentelodon macrognathus fossils were collected from Linxia Basin in 1986. Finds of Early Miocene enrich the content of Xiejian of China's Early Miocene, and especially Paraentelodon, a new species which was fixed according to systematic relationship and other features after a comparison with fossils from northern China. The era of this new species is equivalent to the European MN3. Many fossils of Baodean which belong to Late Miocene have been excavated. Although hundreds of fossils of this stage have been found and published, over twenty new species have been settled since 1980s from excavation in northwestern China including Linxia Basin.Baodean represented by Hipparion Fauna can not be divided into several periods on the basis of obvious characteristics.The situation in Europe is different. We believe that of the well developed layer Linxia Basin,with abundant mammal fossils, their obvious features and so many important excavations will be established as an example of mammal groups living in different eras.
