为了提高BitTorrent系统的下载效率,且不依赖于Tracker服务器,提出一种基于带宽估计的友邻选择算法.算法分两步进行:首先根据上传量和时间间隔进行节点的带宽估计,然后依据带宽匹配的原则选择具有相近带宽的友邻优先上传.仿真结果表明,该算法可以在没有Tracker服务器介入的情况下,较准确地得出邻居节点的上传带宽...

Abstract:
To improve the download efficiency of a BitTorrent system without the tracker, this paper presents a friendly neighbor selection algorithm based on bandwidth estimation. The algorithm consists of two phases. In the first phrase, the bandwidths of peers are estimated based on their upload traffic and time interval. In the second phrase, the friendly neighbors with approximate bandwidth are selected to upload preferentially according to the principle of bandwidth matching. The simulation results show that the peers' upload bandwidth was accurately estimated, which can be used for friendly neighbor selection, and the average download time in a BitTorrent system is stably reduced and the average download time of peers with high and medium bandwidth is dramatically decreased by the algorithm without the intervention of the tracker.
