| Abstract: | In relation to the free vibration of a tube-in-tube tall structure, the author reduces the problem of measuring its inherent frequency to sovling a characteristic value problem comprising a set of eigenvalue functions. As compared with other methods of frequency mea- surement, the proposed method of solving the characteristic value problem is proved by the results to be satisfactory in practicsal use and simple in hand operation. |
