This paper introduces a construction process during which the SMW construction method has adopted on the structure -defending of a garage' s fundamental pit in a building. The sustainable and defending structure was a temporary on and it was used to keep off the sand and water, in order to safeguard that the pit - digging and the fundamental construction go on smoothly and to ensure that it woull not harm the neighboring buildings and environment during the fundamental construction. Combined with specific situations, compared in the aspects of technology and economy, an improved plan of construction cost has been made up, meanwhile, through the analysis of the monitoring data in the construction, the application of the construction method has been proved successfully.
