| 摘 要： | 近20年来，分形的研究受到非常广泛的重视，其原因在于分形既有深刻的理论意义，又有巨大的实用价值，使其吸引着人们寻求其中可能存在的新规律和新特征。本文首先概括地介绍了分形编码技术的产生与发展，其次阐述了它的原理与算法特性，最后对它的应用情况进行了分析和展望。
