翻译适应选择论视域下公示语英译研究

公示语英译具有很强的社会功能，在社会发展、对外交流中起着重要的推动作用。但现今国内公示语英译中还存在着不少问题。翻译适应选择论为公示语英译提供了全新的研究视阈和理论框架，其多维转换方法为公示语英译研究提供了一个较为可行的实践参照。以翻译适应选择论的语言维、文化维、交际维3原则为主要指导，结合实例分析探讨公示语英译中一些不足及改进方法，将促进公示语英译质量提高、语言文化环境改善及对外形象的提升。

A Probe into Chinese-English Translation of Public Signs Based on Translation-as-adaptation-and-selection Theory

C-E translation of public signs plays a significant social role by facilitating the social develop-ment and international exchanges, but there still exist quite a few problems in present domestic practice. Translation-as-adaptation-and-selection theory provides a new perspective and theoretical framework for the study of C-E translation of public signs, with its multi-dimensional transformation method being a practical reference. Guided by the principles of linguistic, cultural and communicative dimensions, a probe into the problems as well as the remediation in practice in terms of concrete examples will lead to the improvement of C-E translation of public signs, betterment of language and cultural environment as well as enhancement of the nation’ s international image.
