By the way of using the theory of narration and in the light of the integrated edition, this paper analyzes the futures of the image of the antagonist, Holden, of the novel, "The Watcher in the Rye": Wondering between the adult and the child, interweaving the mature and naivety, the great separation in every aspect between uncertain self-realization of own ideal and idealized oneself, the image of which concentratively embodies the contradiction in juvenile development. And by the way of textual analyzing the process of carving the image, the paper induces the intention of the implicit author, that is to say, the intention to display the contradiction, perplexity and hesitation during the course of the juvenile growth in order to make the perplexed youngsters who are strolling in the swamps realize the inevitability of the situation. Hence, on the whole, the novel is an objective display of the arduous course of the development of the juveniles .
