| Abstract: | The cylinder pressure measuring technigues are discussed and the major factors affecting the accuracy of the measurement of the cylinder pressure in I. C. engines are analyzed in this paper. These factors include the nonlinearity of pressure transducers, the charge leakage, the error in the position of the T. D. C., and the passage effects such as its natural frequency, length configuration. The method for correcting the position of the T. D. C is given and the importance of the analogue signals to the accuracy of measurement is emphasized. |
