| Abstract: | As a way of thought, metaphor reflects human cognition and culture. There are lots of metaphors in Chinese, which should be translated in different ways in English, according to different contexts, cultural connotation, and the prominence of the metaphors. These ways are literal translation, free translation, change of target zones and literal translation with paraphrase. |
