The development trend of global sheep and goat raising

This paper summarizes the present conditions of the sheep and goat industry in the world in the late 20th century and the development trend: the amount of sheep decreases, the wool yield keeps on decreasing, but the super thin wool yield increases, and the market demand increases; the sheep and goat output significantly increases, the mutton yield and the amount of mutton per person mount quickly; the industry develops fast, especially in developing countries where importance is attached to livestock farming technology and production mode is intensive.
