Because the issue of China＇ s rural land contract disputes has become a heated one, how to build an effective dispute settlement mechanism is a challenge to both researchers and implementers. Among different dispute settlement mechanisms of land contracting, mediation of disputes is a preferred choice to villagers. Therefore, the construction and effective operation of mediation mechanism of rural land contract disputes is of great practical significance to settle rural land contract disputes in a timely, effective and proper way, stabilize the basic rural operation system of rural land, guarantee farmers＇ rights of land contracts and build harmonious new socialist villages. This paper first illustrates the necessity of constructing an effective settlement mechanism of rural land contract disputes, and then focuses on solving issues such as the establishment of mediation models when constructing mediation settlement mechanism of land contract disputes, allocation of mediation procedures and the validity of mediation agreements.
