| Abstract: | Optical fiber frequency-division-multiplexed(communication system using a tunable Fabry-Perot Resonator(FPR)as demultiplexer is one of the systems most likely to be put into practical application in near future.The non-zero stop-band of the FPR will cause crosstalk. Crosstalk is a main factor limiting the channel spacing and effecting the system performance.In this paper,rigorous analysis on the crosstalk, its probability mass function and its relationship to the channel spacing of OFDM-FSK systems are presented.Also presented are the crosstalk-induced bit-error-rate and power penalty. The results give guidance to the dense assingnment of channel spacing according to the requirement of bit-error-rate. |
