Abstract:The incoming and outgoing wave fields are separatedby paraxial approximation ofelastic wave equation and the artificial reflection can be efficiently reduced by describing wavepropagation in the edges of the domain of computation with above oneway wave equation. Atransmission element is obtained by discretization of the one-way wave equation, with whichartificial reflection can be efficiently reduced by setting the transmission element on the artificialboundary for numerical wave simulation by finite element method. The method presented cansolve the problem with complex geometry boundary by combining with finite element method andit is easy to be programed. The numerical results show that it is of high computational precisionand good stability.
