| Abstract: | A cusp catastrophic model is founded on the stability of an inclined bedding slope from catastrophic theory, and a formula of the total potential energy and a criterion condition are derived. In addition, the effect is analyzed of the gradual change of the stress state in the slope body as well as the stress path on the stable state of the slope. |
