金融危机背景下对中国高等教育大众化战略的反思

1998年发生东南亚金融危机,国家出于扩大内需,拉动经济增长的需要,启动了高等教育大众化战略。回顾十年来高等教育大众化的发展之路,成绩与问题俱存。鉴于经验教训,目前再次面对全球性金融危机,应坚持高等教育大众化稳步发展的基调,同时拓展和发挥高校相应职能来积极应对金融危机,但要谨防把高等教育视为非常时期发展经济的特殊工具。

Reflection on Development of Chinese Mass Higher Education under the Global Financial Crisis

In 1998, a financial crisis occurred in Southeast Asia. In order to accelerate the development of economy, we implement the mass higher education policy. Taking a back glance at its developmental process, both achievements and problems existed during the past decade. Therefore, under the current global financial crisis circumstances, we should keep the mass higher education developing steadily, and make the universities play important roles in countering the financial crisis. However the higher education should be considered as the tool of developing economy during peculiar period.
