| Abstract: | The basic concepts and hypothesis bases of three theoretical models, namely Classical Test Theory, Generalizability Theory and Item Response Theory, for evaluating the quality of a language test were introduced in the paper. The advantages and disadvantages of three models were discussed from the perspectives of the hypothesis basis and item analysis method, which provided a guide for the proper choice of theoretical models in evaluating a language test. |
