李秀成的“保民为乐”与洪仁玕的“革故鼎新”

太平天国运动留给后世两份珍贵的精神遗产，即李秀成的“保民为乐”思想和洪仁开的“革故鼎新”思想。“保民为乐”提倡尊重他人的人生价值和人格，是一种人道精神、人本精神；“革故鼎新”建立在对近代社会理性认识的基础之上，是一种仿效“西法”，建设近代化国家的精神。李秀成和洪仁开是同时代的人物，但思想认识上有差距。李秀成的思想仍然停留在“改朝换代”的水平，远远落后于时代，它不可能改变中国的落后面貌，不可能将中国推向富强。洪仁开了解西方文化和历史，提出了《资政新篇》；从太平天国本身说，《资政新篇》没有得到实施，但是，从中国近代史发展的整体来观察，其所规划的各种改革，在洋务运动时期大多数得到实践。但《资政新篇》过分强调“法制”，丢掉了“伦理道德”。李秀戍的“保民为乐”思想弥补了洪仁开的“革故鼎新”思想。两者都值得弘扬。

Li Xiu-cheng's "Respecting Personality" and Hong Ren-gan's "Reforming the Past"

Taipingtianguo Movement left to posterity two precious spiritual heritages, Li＇s ＂Respecting Personality＂ ideology, and Hong Ren-gan＇s ＂Peforming the Past＂ ideology. ＂Respecting Personality ＂ refers to the respect for other people＇s values and personality; it is a kind of humanism and human spirit; ＂Peforming the Past＂ ideology was established on the basis of rational understanding of modem society, and it advocated to follow ＂Western Law＂ to build a modem nation. Li Xiu-cheng and Hong ken-gan are two contemporary figures, but there are gaps in their ideologies and understandings. Li＇s idea still remains at ＂regime change＂ level, far behind the times, it could not c hange China＇s backwardness, it is impossible to push China to richness and powerfulness. Hong Ren-gan understood Western culture and history better; he proposed a ＂The New Theory for Assisting the Management of State Affairs＂; from Taipingtianguo Movement itself. ＂The New Theory for Assisting the Management of State Affairs＂ had not been implemented. But from the overall development of China＇s modem history, the majority of its reforms planning had been taken into practice during the Westernization Movement. However ＂The New Theory for Assisting the Management of State Affairs＂ excessively emphasized on ＂the rule of law＂ and losed the ＂moral.＂ Li＇s ＂Respecting Personality＂ ideology precisely makes up Hong Ren-gan＇s ＂Peforming the Past＂ ideology. Both are worthy of promotion.
