| Abstract: | This paper reports a new species of the genus prenolepis Mayr from Hubei province, China.All type specimens are Preserved in the Institute of Zoology,Shanxi Normal University.preolepis flavabdomins sp. nov. (figs: l - 2)The new speies is allied to Prenlpis melanogaster Emery,but can be distinguished from the latter in thefollowing character:head lengh is longer than its broad;the centre of anterior border of clpeus without notch;the first segment of abdomen is orange-yellow.HolotyPe: woker, Licuan city, Hubei province. 8 - m - 1993, Wang Wei.peratype: 2 workers,same as the holtype. |
