摘    要:为了解决通用移动通信系统UMTS中流媒体业务链路级应答导致的时延积累和播放中断问题,提出了采用变速率的传输方案。当发生重传时,增加信道传输速率,消除时延积累,从而避免了客户端缓冲区数据耗尽引起的播放中断。仿真结果表明,该方案减小了出现播放中断的概率,提高了无线资源的利用,提高了多媒体业务的服务质量。

Abstract:A variable-rate transmission scheme is proposed to resolve the playout interruption due to the delay accumulation when the acknowledged mode of RLC is applied for streaming services. Since the data rate of the dedicated channel may vary frame by frame, the proposed scheme increases the channel rate when the retransmission occurrs. So the delay accumulation is eliminated, and the playout interruption caused by underflow of the pre-decoding buffer in the client is avoided. Compared with the unacknowledged mode at the packet loss probability of 10-3, the scheme lowers the average required power by about 22%. The radio usage efficiency and the quality of service are improved by applying the proposed scheme.
