SIP的系统结构与应用

当前,数据与语音使用不同的网络。然而随着INTERNET的应用普及以及通讯链路带宽的不断提高,人们希望能够合并数据与语音网络。将来,语音就可能被封装在数据包中通过INTERNET传输。这将给用户和运营商都带来效益。IP电话(VO IP)就是一种通过数据网在两个或多个用户之间实时传输语音的技术。作为一个应用实例,用SIP为一个中型跨国公司设计电话网以减少其运营成本。用OPNET软件研究合并语音与数据给这个公司内部网带来的性能影响。

SIP: Architecture and Application

Currently,we have separate networks for voice and data.Because of the prevalence of Internet and its increasingly wider bandwidth,there is a move to merge such two networks.It is promising that voice will be transferred in packets across internet,which will bring benefits for both users and carriers.Internet telephony(VOIP) is a technology which focuses on the real-time delivery of voice between two and more parties.In this paper,we will describe the architecture and application of one important VOIP technology,SIP,because of its advantages over H.323.We explain the different entities of SIP architecture,the interaction between them using SIP signaling,and the interconnecting of a SIP network with other networks.As an application example,we designed a SIP network for an example multinational company.We will investigate its performance using simulation software OPNET.
