医学英语词汇的命名方法众多,比如人名地名命名、神话典故命名、会意命名、音译命名、隐喻命名。隐喻法借助生活中的常见事物代指深奥复杂的医学词汇,让人从熟知事物的特征上推知医学疾病或解剖结构的含义,具有简单直观的优势,所以自古以来医学研究者通过隐喻机制拓展出大量医学英语词。文章从隐喻视角出发,搜集挖掘了一系列医学英语词,希望对医学英语研究起到一定借鉴作用。

Analysis of the Relationship between Metaphor and Medical English Terminology Naming

There are many naming methods of medical English terminology, such as naming after place, myth and allusion, association, transliteration, etc. Metaphor is an important naming method in medical vocabulary. It refers to profound and complex medical vocabulary with the help of common things in life. It enables people to infer the meaning of medical diseases or anatomical structures from the characteristics of familiar things, so it has the advantages of simplicity and intuition. Since ancient times, medical researchers have developed a large amount of medical English terminologies through metaphorical mechanism. From the perspective of metaphor, this study collects and excavates a series of medical English terms, hoping to provide some reference for medical English research.
