离散元法中三种球形颗粒接触发现算法的比较

摘    要:离散元法的计算效率是离散元法的核心问题,而接触发现算法是影响计算效率的重要因素.以目前广为使用的球形颗粒离散元法中的三种接触发现算法为基础,分别将这三种方法并入到作者自行开发的离散元程序中,模拟五个不同颗粒数量的砂堆形成过程.模拟结果表明,边界盒法计算效率最高,相邻单元法次之,边界球法计算效率最低.

Abstract:The Discrete Element Method(DEM) has been widely used in simulation on mechanical behaviors of granular materials.The numerical efficient is one of key problems for simulating a large number of particles.The contact detection method is the most important factor influencing on numerical efficient for DEM.Three contact detection methods widely accepted for DEM have been introduced in this paper,and three methods have been embedded into the DEM code developed by author.Five sandpile formations with different particles numbers have been simulated using three different contact detection algorithms in DEM code.The results show that the bounding box algorithm is highly effective,bounding sphere algorithm is inefficient,and the linked cell algorithm is secondary efficiency among three contact detection methods.
