跨文化交际语境与隐喻的理解

隐喻是人类认知和体验世界的基础,是人类的一种思维方式。隐喻表达的往往不是其字面含义,理解时需要进行认知推理,在推导过程中,文化因素影响隐喻喻义的理解。文化具有共性和异性,在跨文化交际中,文化的共性使交际双方往往能推导出相对正确的言外之意。但同时,每种文化对一定事物都有其特定的隐喻内涵,如来自不同的文化的个体不熟悉这种文化内涵,跨文化交际就难以顺利进行。因此,了解隐喻概念的异同将直接影响跨文化交际的成功。

Cross-cultural Communicative Context and the Comprehension of Metaphor

Human cognition and experience of the world is fundamentally metaphorical in nature.Metaphor is an expression of nonliteral meaning,which is to be obtained by inferring.While inferring,culture influences the interpretation of figural meaning to some extent.Cultures have similarities and dissimilarities.In intercultural communication,based on the similarities of culture,interlocutors can get relatively proper nonliteral meaning.At the same time,a certain object,in a different culture,has its own figural meaning,which makes intercultural communication more complicated.Therefore,to get intercultural communication to go smoothly,it is necessary to know the similarities and dissimilarities of figural meanings in different cultures.
