摘    要:烟雾等无定形物质的模拟一直是计算机图形学领域一个具有挑战性的问题,烟雾的实时模拟更是一个困难的问题。虽然目前现有技术已经可以生成真实感较强的动态烟雾,但由于这些方法多采用基于粒子系统的体绘制技术生成图像,因而大多数无法满足VR系统的实时性需求。本文提出了一种在VR系统中实时模拟飞行器尾部航迹的方法,该方法利用对平面多边形顶点灰度和透明度的扰动实时地生成和绘制航迹,算法简单高效,所生成的尾迹真实感较

Abstract:The simulation of gaseous phenomena such as smokes is a challenging problem in computer graphics. Real time simulation of smokes is particularly difficult. Although current techniques are able to dynamically produce very realistic smokes, they can hardly be employed in a VR system due to their particle system nature and the use of volume rendering. This paper presents a new method of real-time simulation of tail marks in VR systems, which models the shape of tail marks based on a regular 2D partern. The turbulent effect is obtained by dynamically disturbing both intensity and opacity of every control point in the partern. Our algorithm is not only simple and efficient, but also able to produce very realistic images. Thus, it can be smoothly employed by any VR system.
