苏南农村地域城镇化探讨

苏南历来是人多地少的地区，人地矛盾十分突出。在当前社会经济水平下，把大量农村人口转移到城市并不现实。只有在发展农村工业的同时，通过对农村城镇的建设，把农村人口就近就地转移到小城镇，这样既可避免因人口大量涌入城市导致基础设施、住房、环境等问题，又可安置农村剩余劳力，同时又为现代农业的发展预留空间。通过对已有文献、统计资料的分析和实地调查，就苏南农村地区城镇化问题进行了一些探讨。

The Discussion on Town Construction in the Rural Areas of South Jiangsu

The southern rural area of Jiangsu province has more population but less land. It is impractical to shift numerous peasants to the cities at present economical level. The best way is to develop agricultural industry on the one hand and to settle down the peasants near the towns they live in by way of town construction on the other. In this way can avoid problems in basic facilities, housing and environment that are caused by large flowing of population into cities and jobs are provided for the surplus laborers in the countryside. At the same time it makes possible to develop modern agriculture. By statistical data analysis and practical investigation, the thesis puts forward some suggestions on town construction and peasant movement in the rural areas of South Jiangsu.
