| 摘 要： | 以统计主元分析为理论依据，研究了自适应主元提取（APEX）算法，并揭示了该算法的网络模型与统计模式识别之间的密切联系。最后，将APEX算法运用于ORL人脸数据库的特征提取中。仿真结果表明，APEX算法在人脸识别中是一种有效的特征提取方法。

| Abstract: | In this paper, Adaptive Principal Components Extraction Algorithm (APEX) is presented based on Principal Components Analysis (PCA), and a close relationship between network model of the algorithm and statistical pattern recognition is revealed. Finally, to the face database by Olivetti Research Laboratory (ORL), APEX algorithm is applied in face feature extraction, and simulation results demonstrate that it is a valid feature extraction method in face recognition. |
