| 摘 要： | 盖茨比是生活在美国20世纪“喧嚣时代”的迷惘一代的杰出代表。与他的同龄人一样,盖茨比心中怀有一个美丽的美国梦。他认为只要通过自我奋斗,就可以实现自己的梦想。然而所谓的美国梦只不过是一种幻想,盖茨比的梦想在残酷的现实重压下被撕得粉碎。他的悲剧性的结局展现了美国梦必然失落的命运。

| Abstract: | Gatsby is an outstanding representative cf the lost generation who lived in the "roaring 20's". Like his contemporaries, Gatsby had a beautiful American dream. He thought he could realize his dream through self-struggle. Yet the so-called American dream is just an illusion. Gatsby's dream was broken to pieces under the pressure of cruel real life. His tragic ending shows the doom fate of American dream. |
