| Abstract: | The theory of thematic structure is an essential part in functional grammar theory. The application of the thematic theory and information structure theory to the text analysis enables us to have an insight into the function of the thematic progression in textual information flow, from which we can identify the information direction, information frame and information focus in the text. |
