GMS云图定量资料的应用

目前GMS云图资料提供的是模拟量,模拟云图资料在天气分析与预报中已有很多应用。由于人眼对于灰度等级的分辨率较低,对于模拟云图的目视分析主要在于云的形态及移动变化情况,大量有用信息未能被利用。本文利用DIPIX图像处理系统将模拟云图重新量化,并利用其现有软件对所得数字云图作了一维直方图分析和二维分类。对于云的物理性质和空间结构有更多的了解。可以看出其较直接使用模拟云图的优越性。

THE APPLICATION OF THE DIGITIZED DATA OF THE GMS

Nowadays, the GMS only transmits analogous pictures, which have found wide application in weather analysis and forecast. The human eye is not sensitive to the change of shades of gray, so the analysis of analog pictures is mainly morphologic with much information of these pictures unused. In this paper we analyse the pictures the of GMS by means of the DIPIX ARIES-II Image Processing System and present one-dimension histograms and twodimension classifications of sea fog and front and spiral cloud systems. These histograms and classifications help us to get a better understanding of the physical properties and spatial structure of the clouds and indicate the use of digitized data is preferable to that of the analog data.
