| Abstract: | On the basis of discussions about the main features of English and Chinese metrical poetry, the English version of ＂Recapture of the Regions North and South of the Yellow River＂ is analyzed from the perspective of Xu Yuan - chang＇ s ＂Three Beauties＂ principle, which illustrates the possibility to apply the ＂Three Beauties＂ principle to ancient Chinese metrical poetry translation as a general criterion. |
