| Abstract: | The fundamental working principle of several kinds of Q-switching and their applications for fiber lasers were summarized. It was also introduced three sorts of all fiber Q-switching, and compared them with the common ones. As an emphasis, a special kind of Q-switching was introduced which was based on stimulated Brillouin scattering in fiber. |
