Abstract:A lot of studies on the theory of elasto-viscoplastic BEM have been performed abroad, but a little in China. This paper goes further into several important problems in BEM, including the singular integral and the discontinuity of boundary tractions. In the paper the applied program of 2-D elasto-viscoplastic BEM has been worked out and an example for examining the program has been given. Based on the above work a space-time effect on the excavation face of tunnel with the function of bolting support is considered, thus the engineering application of BEM is developed.
