| 摘 要： | 荒漠化是指人类活动引起的土地退化问题,是一个全球性的环境问题,它威胁着人类的生存. 甘肃省是我国西部荒漠化比较严重的省份之一,有近1/3的土地处于荒漠化. 扭转荒漠化态势应作为西部大开发的一项重要工作. 防治荒漠化需要科学地恢复和重建这些地区的自然植被,植树种草要遵循植被演替和生态学规律,对有限的自然资源要适度开发利用,将生态效益和经济效益有机结合起来.

| Abstract: | Desertification means land degradation due to human activities. It is a global environmental problem and threatens human subsistence. One third of the land in Gansu Province, one of the most severely desertified provinces in China, is suffering desertification. Reversing the situation of desertification should be considered as an important project in West China development. Controlling desertification needs to restore and rehabilitate natural vegetation of these areas. Principles of vegetation succession and ecology should be followed while planting trees and grasses. Consideration must be given to both ecological effects and economic profits by reasonably utilizing the limited natural resources. |
