| Abstract: | Mao Dun was among the most influential theoretical critics during May 4~th Movement. He not only wrote a great deal of critical articles towards foreign literary works, but also introduced various thoughts and schools of realism, naturalism and modernism. He did open the eyeshot of Chinese people, and improved the development of new literature as well. |
