杨万里和王庭珪的师生交谊

杨万里最初接受的是父亲的教育,14岁时,拜乡先生高守道为师,接下来的第二位老师就是王庭珪。自17岁进拜王庭珪为师以来,杨万里就和王庭珪之间建立了一种越来越密切的师生情谊。在为学、为人、为仕等方面,杨万里所受王庭珪的影响是不可低估的。入仕以后,和王庭珪一直勤相往来,而且“晚复托昏(婚)”,将自己二女许嫁王庭珪两曾孙,两家结为姻亲。在王庭珪去世后三十年来,杨万里一直自称“门人”,师恩永铭于心。

The Friendly Teacher-Student Relationship between Yang Wanii and Wang Tinggui

Yang Wanli received education first of all from his father. At the age of fourteen, he took as his first teacher Gao Shoudao, a country teacher. His second teacher was Wang Tinggui. After Yang Wanli became Wang Tingui's student at the age of seventeen, an evr-developing friendly teacher-student relationship was gradually built up. Wang's influence on Yang Wangli in such aspects as learning, living, and official life was not to be underestimated. He had been in constant touch with Wang since he began his official career. He married his two daughters to Wang's two great grandsons and the two families thus became related by marriage. For 30 years after Wang's death, Yang Wanli remembered Wang as his teacher, and claimed to be Wang's "disciple".
