Development of Chinese Bronze Chime-bells |

| Abstract: | Occupying a prominent position in ancient Chinese ritualorchestra,the chime-bells of China merit our particular attention.As the products of specific times,they provide us with significant social information.They not only incorporate the splendid achievements of the times,but cement the limitations of the age in them as well.This article,which is based on historical facts,outlines the development of Chinese chime-bells,and pays close attention to their cultural connotations. |
