摘    要:通过调研比较少数民族学生与汉族学生这两大群体在英语学习特征上的异同,并就此提出改进该地区英语教学质量的思路和建议,希望对其他少数民族地区的英语教学有所启示。

Abstract:A survey was conducted in September 2004, on the English learning features of 250 high school students from two high schools in Rongshui Miao Autonomous County, Guangxi. Through a cbmparison between the minority nationality students and the Han nationality students on English learning, the survey attempts to depict the English learning features of the minority nationality group, so as to put forward some suggestions for English learning and teaching in Rongshui County and other minority regions as well.
