Cultural Empathy Principle in English Vocabulary Learning

As a basic element of language learning, vocabulary learning is very essential. While Chinese English learners always make some mistakes in understanding the cultural meaning of English vocabulary. In response, this paper proposes that non- native English learners should pay attention to cultural empathy principle when learning English vocabulary. The relationship between vocabulary learning and cultural empathy is also discussed.
