摘    要:提出并建立了一种新型的快速分析平面光波光路器件传输特性的2D时域有限元束传播法(FE-TD-BPM)模型.与常规时域差分格式的有限元束传播法相比,在时域实现了一维有限元(FEM)离散化处理,基于完全匹配层(PML)边界条件给出了全有限元离散化模型.为了验证算法的精度以及速度,模拟分析了直脊波导以及波导光栅,并且与已有文献的计算结果进行比较,结果表明,该算法无条件稳定、计算速度快,与常规时域差分格式的有限元束传播法相差在0.002%以内,并节省了约70%的机时.

Abstract:A novel fast 2D time domain finite element beam propagation method(FE-TD-BPM)which is used to analyze planar lightwave circuit(PLC) is presented.Based on the perfectly matched layer(PML) boundary condition,the time domain is discretized by the finite element method(FEM) and the full finite element discrete model is realized compared with the traditional finite difference method used in the FE-TD-BPM.In order to validate this method,ridge waveguide and waveguide grating were analyzed by this method and the result compared with the published paper.The result shows that this method has the features of unconditional stable and high computation speed. Compared with the traditional finite difference method used in the FE-TD-BPM the difference is less than 0.002%,meanwhile,the new method can save about 70% computation time.
