摘    要:为了提高IEEE 802.11 DCF(distributed coordination function)在网络繁忙时的性能,提出一种减小冲突的方法。该方法是将2个时隙组合起来构成一个超时隙。当一个站点在一个超时隙中发包时,它以q的概率选择第1个时隙发包,以(1-q)的概率选择第2时隙发包。因此,当多个站点同时在一个超时隙中发包时,一部分冲突就被转化为成功的发送或虚拟冲突。仿真结果表明:在存在100个站点的网络中应用该方法可以提高22.6%的吞吐量并将冲突所消耗的能量降低为原来的52.7%。这种方法简单易行,较大幅度提高了DCF的性能。

Abstract:A mechanism to reduce collisions was developed to enhance the performance of IEEE 802.11 DCF(distributed coordination function)with two slots being assembled together to form a super slot.When a station sends a frame in a super slot,the frame is sent in the first slot with probability q and in the second slot with probability(1-q).Therefore,if more than one station sends a frame in a super slot at the same time,some of the collisions are converted into successful transmissions or virtual collisions.The simulation results indicate that with 100 stations in a basic service set applying this mechanism improves the throughput by 22.6% and the power consumed by collisions is only 52.7% of DCF.This mechanism is easy way to implement and greatly improves DCF's performance.
