| Abstract: | The paper related to the production of ethoylated alcohols by reaction said alcohols with ethylene oxide in the presence of a barium catalyst promoted by phenol or alkylated phenols. Great benefit had been provided by this catalyst system which provides.The low byproduct levels and has the narrow distribution of the preferred mole adducts.But the auther of this paper has not yet found that invention relates to effects of the promoter in the reaction. Therefore, the auther has done some experiments, for example, best quantity of the promoter in the reaction has been defined, so that the auther will advance new viw for it. |
