| Abstract: | The load-carrying mechanism and settlement of composite foundation with flexible and rigid piles are demonstrated in the paper, reasons for the failure of flexible pile composite foundation and successful experience to improve foundation composed with rigid piles at the same project analyzed, and some valuable suggestions on the design of both composite foundation. |
