高职学生英语学习动机的动态探析及与语言能力的相关性研究

摘    要:本文运用定量研究的方法,跟踪调查了高职非英语专业三个年级学生的英语学习动机、动机的变化情况以及与语言能力的相关性。调查结果显示:高职学生的学习动机在大学三年期间会发生变化;学习情境动机对英语学习影响很大,工具型动机是二年级、三年级学生的主要学习动机,但高职学生内在学习动机不强,融合型动机最弱;一年级学生的学习情境动机与语言能力呈极其显著的正相关,二、三年级学生的工具型动机与语言能力呈显著正相关。针对此结果,笔者提出试探性的教学建议。

Abstract:By way of empirical study, this paper investigates English learning motivation, motive trends and the correlation between motivation and language capabilities of learners among non-English majors of three grades at vocational colleges. Results show that learning motivation may change during the three years; Learning situation motivation plays an important role in English learning, instru- mental motivation is the most significant motivation in the second and the third years, intrinsic motivation isn' t so strong and integrative motivation is the weakest; The correlation study shows that there is a most remarkable positive correlation between learning situation motivation and language capability among freshmen, and positive correlation between instrumental motivation and language capability in sophomores and juniors. Therefore, some pedagogy countermeasures are proposed.
